HSF wraps up the year
After a year of fun-filled activities, contests and events with the Humber Students’ Federation (HSF), April marks the final stretch of another successful year. But all is not over just yet! Although Humberlife is finished for the year, there are still opportunities to get involved with HSF.
Coming up on Thursday, Apr. 26, is HSF’s 10th Annual Gala for students 19+. Get dressed up for a night you won’t want to miss amongst friends, HSF staff and your student executives! With this year’s theme being “Under the Sea”, this event is sure to make a splash amongst Humber ITAL and the University of Guelph-Humber students. Ticket pick-up is available at either HSF office (KX204 North, Orangeville main office or K202 Lakeshore) for $25 bucks a pop, which covers the entrance fee, dinner and free drinks.
Furthermore, current students who know someone who will be attending Guelph-Humber or Humber in the fall are encouraged to tell new students to look forward to Humberlife’s summer issue, which they will receive during Orientation on HSF’s USB-key Information Package. Filled with helpful information on the HSF, its initiatives and the various plans the student government has for the upcoming year, new students will get a sneak-peak look into the 2012-2013 year.
Finally, students who are looking to get more work-related experience in their specialized field, or simply looking to get more involved throughout the school in general, are reminded to check out humberlife.com for job opportunities. With part-time positions ranging from an events assistant, customers service representative, or even working here on the Humberlife team, students are encouraged to apply. A word of warning though: part-time employment opportunities fill-up quickly, so apply at Humberlife.com as soon as possible in an effort to get ahead of the game!
So, although the Humberlife year may be coming to an end, there’s still a ton of opportunities to be had with the Humber Students’ Federation. Get involved today, boost your resume and/or create some memories that will tie you over until the new school year.
