College Student Alliance
The CSA is a member-driven organization—one that is student-based, student-governed and student-led—that represents student governments of Ontario colleges. Current membership consists of 15 colleges—representing 23 Student Councils–who in turn collectively represent over 120,000 full-time students. Through a variety of means that include social media, campus information campaigns and presentations, the CSA and its membership provide a source for individual students to become aware of important issues and to have their voice heard concerning their college education.
The cornerstone of our organization is advocacy. It is the reason for our existence. With the support and direction of its member student councils, the CSA continues to be instrumental in working with other post secondary organizations and government to make positive changes to the college education experience. Additionally, we provide opportunities for student leaders to learn the necessary skills and knowledge that will contribute to their student government success and provide a number of student-focused services designed to better the experience and efficiency of student leaders including best practice methods.
The CSA is committed to strengthening the voice and the role of student governments in Ontario through ongoing education and dialogue about advocacy issues, campaigns and resources. We believe that a higher level of awareness of issues facing students today leads to a more united and effective voice, and we work tirelessly with our members to support their efforts informing students on campus. It is this collaborative commitment that has earned the CSA a very credible and influential reputation amongst its peer organizations and the political process.
