The first step to becoming a Director on the Board is being elected as a Program Representative. This package will allow you to nominate yourself as a candidate for a Program Representative position with the HSF.
Program Representatives will facilitate a key role between the students of Humber and the HSF Board of Directors. Directors are elected (or appointed) from the pool of Program Representatives selected from each of the recognized schools of Humber. Students who participated in the winter elections are given priority for Director positions if they are unfilled at this time. (Please note: Guelph-Humber students should contact the Guelph Humber Student Association (GHSA) regarding positions for Program Representative within Guelph-Humber, as that election process is administered by the GHSA.)
As a candidate for Program Representative, you are responsible to be fully informed of all the rules and regulations outlined in HSF Policy 5 – Elections & Judicial Review. In instances where you have questions relating to the policy, please contact the Executive Director.
You must submit your fully completed nomination package to the HSF office (North campus KX202, Lakeshore campus K204, Orangeville main office) no later than the close of the nomination period. Important dates:
- Start of the Nomination Period: 8:30 a.m. – Tuesday, September 6, 2011.
- Close of the Nomination Period: 4:00 p.m. – Friday, September 23, 2011.
Please note that incomplete nomination packages (i.e. insufficient signatures, signatures not from within your program of study, etc.) will not be accepted and a candidate submitting an incomplete nomination package will not be able to participate in the elections process.
